Public Relations case study 1:

Genus Group

The brief

Samurai Press & PR were appointed by Genus Group in June 2004. Genus, a document management systems and microfilm systems specialist, had just re-branded itself under the Genus umbrella.

Its aim was to unify the five composite companies under one name and simplify its corporate profile. Its customer base is both UK and European-wide, alongside a strong sales base in the USA. Therefore their promotion needed to be truly worldwide.

The results

Through the building of a tailor-made media list of newspapers, magazines and trade journals, coupled with sharply written and pertinent press releases and features, Samurai Press & PR has successfully secured coverage in titles as diverse as the Coventry Evening Telegraph and Document Manager.

Overall, Genus has gained coverage on a local, regional, national and international basis.

Reference

“Samurai Press & PR have made an invaluable contribution to the raising of our corporate profile. With a change of company name we had a difficult project for Paul and the team . However the results were very rewarding with some excellent press coverage that generated new clients, at a fraction of the cost of blanket advertising.”
